8 Grants for Oregon Students

The Office of Student Access & Completion (OSAC) is the go-to place for financial aid for Oregon students. In addition to over $17 million in scholarships, they offer a variety of grants, which is money for college that does not need to be paid back.
❶ Oregon Opportunity Grant
Who is it for? Oregon residents (including eligible undocumented students) who will attend an Oregon college at least half-time. Priority is given to students with financial need.
How do I apply? Complete the FAFSA or ORSAA as soon as possible after October 1.
❷ Oregon Promise
Who is it for? Recent high school or GED® graduates who are Oregon residents (including eligible undocumented students) who will attend an Oregon community college at least half-time.
How do I apply? Complete the FAFSA or ORSAA and an Oregon Promise application by your deadline.
❸ Oregon Student Child Care Grant
Who is it for? Oregon residents enrolled as an undergraduate at an Oregon college and have a child.
How do I apply? Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1 and an Oregon Student Child Care Grant application by May 31.
❹ Oregon Chafee Education and Training Grant
Who is it for? Current or former foster youth in Oregon.
How do I apply? Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1 and the Chafee Education and Training Grant application by March 1.
❺ Oregon Barbers and Hairdressers Grant
Who is it for? Oregon residents with financial need attending a licensed school of barbering, hair design, cosmetology, or manicure in Oregon full-time.
How do I apply? Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1; be sure to list the school you plan to attend.
❻ Oregon National Guard State Tuition Assistance
Who is it for? Current Oregon National Guard members attending an Oregon community college or public university.
How do I apply? Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1 and the Oregon National Guard State Tuition Assistance Program application by the deadline and create an OSAC student profile and any specific requirements for your Military branch.
❼ Deceased or Disabled Public Safety Officer Grant
Who is it for? Oregon residents attending an Oregon college full-time who are the dependents of a public safety officer killed or disabled in the line of duty.
How do I apply? Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1 and the Application and Certification of Eligibility.
❽ Oregon Youth Conservation Corps Grant
Who is it for? Participants in Oregon Youth Conservation Corps programs.
How do I apply? Vouchers will be sent automatically to eligible students.
