Working Together Across Oregon

In November, high schools all across Oregon came together for one big goal: helping students take the next step toward their dreams. During College Application Week, we saw some amazing teamwork that helped our seniors get ready for life after high school.

Our schools were very busy this year. Here is a look at the big numbers from the event:

  • 80+ Schools & Groups: More than 80 high schools and community groups joined in to help.
  • 6,000+ Seniors: Over 6,000 students got help with their applications.
  • 10,000+ Applications: Students finished over 10,000 applications to community colleges, universities, and trade schools.

An infographic titled "Oregon College Application Month 2025" displaying three key statistics: 80 schools accompanied by an icon of a school building. 6k students accompanied by an icon of three students reading. 10k applications accompanied by an icon of a graduation cap. The "Oregon Goes To College" logo is located in the bottom right corner.

How Schools Helped Students Succeed

Applying to college can feel like a giant puzzle. Schools made it easier by giving students the time and help they needed during the school day. This is especially helpful for students who are the first in their families to go to college.

Teachers and counselors worked together to host:

  • Application Labs: Quiet places with computers where students could work on their forms.
  • One-on-One Meetings: Time for students to ask experts their specific questions.
  • Classroom Workshops: Lessons on how to pick a school and meet important deadlines.
  • Financial Aid Help: Help with the forms needed to pay for school.

Building a Stronger Future

By giving students a clear path, our schools are making sure everyone has a chance to succeed. These events help students stay organized and feel confident about their future. Whether they want to go to a four-year university or learn a trade, Oregon students are showing they are ready to lead the way.
