What are Degree Partnership Programs?

Do you know you want to transfer to a 4-year college after taking some classes at a community college? Or do you want to take some of your classes at a community college and some at a university? Most of Oregon's public universities have programs that allow you to be enrolled at both colleges.

How It Works

Degree partnership programs, also known as co-admission or dual enrollment, means that in any term you can:

  • Take all your courses at the community college.
  • Take all your courses at the university.
  • Take some courses at the community college and some at the university.

Programs usually allow you to access resources and services at both colleges like the library, housing, and advising. You may need to apply for admission to both colleges and/or complete a separate application to be dual enrolled. See specific college programs for details.

Benefits of Degree Partnership Programs

  • Affordability: Taking classes at a community college is often cheaper than a university.
  • Coordinated financial aid: One college will handle all of your financial aid.
  • Flexibility: Take classes at one or both of the colleges.
  • Credits transfer easily: Classes are aligned so credits transfer more easily.
  • More resources and support: You may have access to student services at both colleges.
